HISTORY
SVT GmbH, a member of GESCO Group, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of loading equipment for liquid and gaseous media. More than 50 years of experience in design, manufacturing and maintenance and thousands of loading systems installed worldwide, establish SVT’s reputation as a reliable and innovative partner for its customers.
As before, SVT designs, manufactures and assembles only in Germany – all key components such as swivel joints, emergency release couplings, control systems and connection couplings are designed, manufactured and tested by SVT in Germany.
SVT develops – based on many years of know-how – equipment which is leading in the field of the latest loading technologies, environmental protection and safety of the operating personnel.
WIESE & CONNEX
The origins of SVT GmbH can be found both in Wiese GmbH, founded in 1968 and taken over in 1987, and in Connex GmbH, founded in 1980 and also taken over in 1997.
Over 50 years of concentrated knowledge in the field of loading technology!
Wiese GmbH was known for innovative products in the field of loading technology. A completely new concept was the separate support structure of the SVT marine loading arm model ATLANTIC, developed for the increased requirements in the loading of critical, liquid and gaseous media. Connex GmbH, which at that time had split off from Wiese GmbH, was also established worldwide in the field of loading technology.
In 2002 SVT was taken over by GESCO SE, Wuppertal. GESCO Group (www.gesco.de) is characterised by independently managed subsidiaries – mostly in the metal and plastics industry.
This takeover gave rise to today’s globally active “SVT GmbH” with its subsidiary Connex SVT Inc. in Houston, Texas.
